Someone Playing Piano

PRIVATE PIANO LESSONS

The very first thing we do when we meet a new student is discuss the reason why they want to learn piano and their future goals. No student is alike and all students are choosing to learn for their own personal reasons. Some students want to learn piano as a hobby, others want to go through the Royal Conservatory of Music program, and some want to learn to chord while they sing. Whatever your reason for wanting to learn piano Impact! Music Studio can be there to guide you through.

We offer private lessons to students as young as 4 (but, we do recommend considering our Kindermusik classes before private lessons) all the way up to adult. We can teach a wide variety of styles and genres all the way from beginner to advanced. We specialize in an early learning piano program called the Kelly Kirby Piano Method which is a piano based early-learning music program. Performance, competition, and RCM preparation opportunities are available to the students that are interested.

OUR CURRICULUM

Students always get the opportunity to learn pieces they find enjoyable. We use these curriculum as starting points while using additional supplementary materials for a well-rounded and fun musical experience.

ROYAL CONSERVATORY OF MUSIC

The RCM Program is a comprehensive system of music study from Elementary to Advanced. In many countries, it is considered the gold standard for developing high-calibre musical literacy.

KELLY KIRBY INTRODUCTORY PIANO METHOD

Kelly Kirby is a special approach to music, taught through the piano, that provides a complete foundation for any type of music study or other instrument that a child may wish to later pursue. For students 4-6.

FABER PIANO ADVENTURES

We use Piano Adventures for older beginners (6-7 and up) and for children looking to learn as a fun hobby.

PERFORMANCE OPPORTUNITIES

Performance opportunities are optional at Impact! Music Studio but, encouraged. Performing for an audience comes with a list of benefits from fostering self-confidence to learning how to achieve a goal. Students will have opportunities to perform at recitals, local competitive and non competitive festivals and volunteer performances for seniors.
